つい先日、女性の方から、次のようなメールを

いただきました。

一部抜粋してご紹介します。

「・・・３年前に一度メールを送らせていただいた

者です。

お忘れかも知れませんが、写真に青春を掛けたいと、

２０代の終わりに、熱い一文をお送りしました。・・」

ここまで、読んで、すぐ思いだしました。

「・・精一杯やったという悔いない青春を送りたい・・・」

２９歳の女性からのメールでした。

そのコトバは、まさに私が、それまで勤めていた

「証券会社」を辞めて未知の写真の世界に入ろうと

したときと全く同じ気持ちだと言っても過言ではありません。

それだけに、彼女のコトバの一つ一つが、胸を刻むように、

響いたものでした。

今回、届いたメールは、その女性からのものでした。

「今、地方から出てきているので、もし会えるようでしたら

・・・・・・・」

あまりに、急のことでしたが、その日、特に、

用事もなく、体の調子も普通でしたので、

大阪で会うことになりました。

実は、正直いいますと、１年前にも相談メールを下さった

ことがあったのです。

そのメールでは、

「　広告会社で,少数の女性カメラマンの一人として、

働いているのですが、

広告写真界の現実は、甘くはなく、激烈な過当競争に、

ストレスと不安で毎日、おしつぶされそうだ」　

というものでした。

結局「休暇」をもらうことになったという

ことだったのです。

そして、もう一度、

「一から写真家になりたいという気持ちでやりなおしたい！」

という内容のものでした。

私は、彼女の様子をいろいろ聞かせていただいたうえで、

彼女の、写真への情熱が、並々ならぬことを察し、

職場はそのまま勤め、独学で勉強することを

ススメタのです。

そんないきさつがありましたので、

忘れるどころか、一層印象に残っている女性だったのです。

そして、今回３度目のメールが届いたというわけです。

この度大阪でお会いしたときは、

結婚されていたせいもあってか、人間的にも、

一段と大きく感じられました。
